The Crossbow Map

This page will display the current crossbow regulations around the nation.

The Crossbow Map
The map below depicts the current status of disabled archer regulations across the nation.

Those States appearing in red have not legalized crossbows for disabled hunters in the archery season.

Those States appearing in Yellow have legalized crossbows for disabled individuals, but are still in need of reform because they have not legalized modified bows (Draw-Locks, body braces, mouth-tabs) and/or because their current current permit eligibility requirements are too restrictive.

Those States appearing in green have acceptable disabled archer systems -- these states have legalized crossbows / modified bows, and have reasonable eligibility requirements.

Note:  Map creation still in progress (I'm having difficulty finding the exact regulations of every state -- which is proof of how erratic and confusing the current state-by-state crossbow regulations are). If you can give comment on a particular state, or you believe that a state is inaccurately colored, then please email us at Alliance@disabledrights.org
  Key:  Green = Acceptable Situation
Yellow = Partially Unacceptable
Red = Unacceptable Situation
